Midland Looking to Become a ‘Smart City’

Midland has always been known as the "Tall City," but soon it could become a "Smart City."

According to NewsWest 9, Midland City Council was approached with many ways to become a "Smart City" such as changing traffic lights to LED lights, using smart cameras to locate available parking places, and using solar lights in city parks.

The city will have to come up with a plan to become a Smart City, and if it is approved by city council, it could be put in motion by 2019.
