Midland ISD Releases 2018-19 School Year Calendar

MISD released its calendar for the upcoming school year and school will be starting and ending earlier come next year.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the school year will begin for students on August 15, 2018 and graduation will be before Memorial Day on May 25, 2019.

The new schedule will still split Christmas break between the last week of December and first week of January and school ending the week before Christmas will also be the end of the first semester.

MISD students will also have the entire week of Thanksgiving off and spring break will be March 11-15, 2019.

The last day of school will be May 24, 2019, Memorial Day will be the following Monday (May 27, 2019).

The hours for school in the 2018-19 school year will be 7:45 am - 3:20 pm for elementary students and 8:40 am - 4:15 pm for secondary school students.

Early release days will be September 21, November 2, December 21, February 15, April 12, and May 24. Early release school days will be 7:45 am - 12:30 pm for elementary students and 8:40 am - 1:30 pm for secondary students.
