Midland Fire Station Moving After Almost 60 Years of Service

A Midland neighborhood will see its fire station move down the road.

According to NewsWest 9, Midland Fire Station #6, located at Thomason and Midland Drive, will be moving soon.

Officials explained that the fire station was built to house only two or three people back in 1958 when it was built but is now housing eight to ten people 24 hours a day.

They also added that equipment is being left outdoors and there is no room to conduct any training in the old station.

The new station will be located on Tradewinds Blvd. a few miles west of the current location.
