Midland Fire Dept. is trying something new this year while still trying to teach kids the importance of safety.

According to NewsWest 9, MFD decided instead of trying to put the students in a classroom that they would do a kid’s camp instead to make it more fun to learn the value of safety.

The camp covered three days and was more successful than they were expecting.

If you weren’t able to get your kid involved don’t worry, MFD is planning more kid camp type events in the future.
