A new hockey season is here for the Odessa Jackalopes and one Midland family will have new family members for the season.

According to NewsWest 9, the Fricker family has been taking in players for the Odessa Jackalopes for the past six seasons.

The new batch of players have only been in Midland for two months but they already feel at home.

The Frickers not only house the players but they also feed them which can mean many trips to the grocery store for everything from chicken breasts to several gallons of milk a week.

The Frickers have taken in over 60 young players from all around the world and consider each one a forever member of their family.
