Two Midland divers are making themselves known at the Olympic Trials in Indianapolis.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, Anna James and Tarrin Gilliland are currently in Indianapolis competing for a spot in the Summer Olympics in Rio.

Anna James is a Midland High graduate and Purdue University swimmer while Tarrin Gilliland is just 13 years old and trains at the COM Aquatic Center in Midland.

James and her partner Katrina Young slipped from second to third place in yesterday's diving trials. Gilliland and her partner Krysta Palmer finished fourth after their five dives.

Both Midlanders are hoping to make it to Rio in August to represent the U.S. in the Summer Olympics.
