The Midland County Public Library is looking for Veterans to tell their story to be recorded for their genealogical research collection.

According to NewsWest 9, with Veteran's Day approaching, the Midland library wants to preserve history by getting the oral stories of local veterans preserved.

They will be holding an event on October 26, 2017 to record the stories. Each veteran that participates will have his or her own session so they can take the time to tell their own unique story to preserve in the genealogical research collection at the library.

If you are a veteran that would like to participate or if you know of one that would like to participate, you can contact the genealogical director, Kim Reddin at (432) 742-7440.
