Midland City Council Approves Funding For New Midland Center

A new Midland Center has been approved this week by Midland City Council.

According to NewsWest 9, the budget was approved during the City Council meeting this past Tuesday.

They approved the $43 million dollar budget for the new state of the art convention center with funds to be taken from Midland's hotel/motel tax.

Officials stated the current Midland Center lost over 300 events last year because of inadequate space.

Construction on the new Midland Center could begin as soon as January.
