Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, is a day that I will never forget. I had the opportunity to not only meet Ed Sheeran, but bring my best friend of more than 20 years, Lindsey, with me.

Lindsey is a huge fan of Ed. She's been telling me about his music for years. How beautiful the melodies are that he creates, and about the moving lyrics that writes.

So, I had been wanting to attend one of his shows with her for quite some time. She and I have always bonded over music, but we don't often get to attend shows together because she lives in Boston.

When I realized that Ed was returning to Texas over Labor Day, I realized this was our chance to see him together. I called her up, bought the tickets, and we made our plans.

Not long after we bought our tickets, I learned that we had an opportunity to meet him. I immediately shared the good news with Lindsey, and she was so excited that I was afraid she would faint.

Knowing that our time would limited, but that she had so much to say she wrote a letter to Ed thanking him for his music and the positive way it has shaped her life. We just had a few short minutes with him, but he kindly took a photo with each of us and signed our X albums.

We were so excited! I got on Instagram to post my photo, and saw where Ed had posted two hilarious photos.

The show was incredible. If you ever have an opportunity to see him perform live, GO! His timing, range and performance are all top notch. He can cover Stevie Wonder and Blackstreet in the same set, and woo you with ballads like 'Thinking Out Loud.'
