Fans of Star Wars flocked to Orlando on Thursday (April 13), where the annual Star Wars Celebration was held, featuring the cast members and creators of the iconic sci-fi franchise.

While attendees were treated to a plethora of delightful surprises—including the series' prequels star Hayden Christensen making a very rare public appearance—the most poignant moment came during the event's tribute to Princess/General Leia actress Carrie Fisher, in which Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, paid homage to her late mother.

"She loved you [the fans]  because you embraced all of her," an impassioned Lourd told the crowd, according to Entertainment Weekly. "The strong soldier she was and the vulnerable side, who fought her own dark side. ...She loved this incredible character she got to create—this force, called Leia."

Afterwards, the Scream Queens star reunited with her mom's onscreen family—Mark Hamill as Leia's brother Luke Skywalker and Harrison Ford as Leia's lover Han Solo, respectively—for an emotional photo of the trio embracing.

"So much like her mother in so many ways," Hamill, who shared the snap, wrote on Instagram. "It was almost as if we were cuddling our Princess again!"
