Margot Robbie Confirms Marriage to Tom Ackerley With Ring-Studded Bird-Flip

The Daily Telegraph's Monday morning (December 19) rumor that Margot Robbie secretly married boyfriend Tom Ackerley over the weekend have been all but confirmed by the Suicide Squad actress, herself.

Robbie, who's been dating Ackerley since 2013, shared an Instagram image last night (December 19) in which she flips the bird (don't worry, it's just her ring finger) to the camera. And the finger in question just so happens to be decorated with a marquise-style diamond ring.

The announcement elicited sincere congratulations from many followers, while others were forced to confront the harsh reality that they'd never have a shot with the A-list Robbie.

"Oh WOW how exciting a huge congratulations to you both," one wrote while another simply lamented "Heartbreaking."

Robbie told Vogue in May that she'd known Acklerley for a very long time before the couple started dating, and that everything seemed to fall into place once she finally admitted to her feelings.

"I was the ultimate single gal," she said. "The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this [relationship] crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, 'Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.' And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.'"
