It’s a fun treat when directors you admire get hired to direct really cool-looking commercials. Spike Jonze’s fragrance ad featuring an acrobatic Margaret Qualley went viral last year. Neill Blomkamp has a whole series of commercials detailing the exploits of Clive Owen’s mysterious “Driver,” a man hired for his getaway car skills who just so happens to drive a fancy-schmancy BMW. Now, Justin Lin, whom you might know best from the Fast & Furious movies, has joined the fray with a futuristic and yet realistic commercial for a company called Arconic inspired by The Jetsons.

The Jetsons’ theme plays over stunning live-action and CGI vistas, giving us a taste of what the real 2062 (the year the original cartoon show was set) might look like given the technological advances of today. Arconic, an innovation company that specializes in the fun stuff like 3D printing and giant airplanes, partnered with Lin and a “brain trust” of thinkers to imagine a realistic, but still stunning, version of the future only 45 years from now.

Here’s what Arconic has to say about the commercial on their website:

The Jetsons sci-fi cartoon series launched in 1962 and was set 100 years in the future. An instant hit, it presented an entertaining yet surprisingly forward-thinking vision of 2062. It’s amazing to see how much The Jetsons got right, predicting things like smartwatches, tablets and 3D printing; and that made us wonder what else might still be in store. Flying cars? Extraordinary buildings? So we gathered a brain trust of leading futurists and our own engineers to share their thoughts on what Arconic could help realize in 2062, and brought their vision to life with the help of film director Justin Lin.

And make sure you watch this making-of video that shows just how close the future of The Jetsons is to our own:
