It’s very easy to get caught up in all the Deadpool 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 craziness, but don’t let yourself forget one extremely important thing: John Wick 2 is coming. The sequel to Keanu Reeves’ modern action masterpiece is on its way and now, courtesy of Lionsgate, we know exactly what date to circle on our calendars.

John Wick: Chapter Two, the film’s fancy new title, will officially hit theaters on February 10, 2017. Because not a paragraph can go by without us mentioning Deadpool and the effect it is happening on Hollywood, it’s interesting that mid-February is quickly becoming a destination for bro-friendly action movies. Just one week after John Wick: Chapter Two opens, Bad Boys 3 will also open in theaters.

This new John Wick story (Chapter 2 in the story, if you will) will follow the events of John’s trip to Rome where he no doubt kicks some Italian ass for some unknown deeds. Joining Reeves in returning for the sequel are Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick and even John’s dead wife Bridget Moynihan (Force Ghost!). Newcomers include Laurence Fishburne, Peter Stormare, Common and Ruby Rose. Despite offers from some more mainstream productions, Chad Stahelski and David Leitch returned to direct this film.

Let’s hope that John Wick: Chapter Two is just the beginning of expanding the JWCU (the John Wick Cinematic Universe) and that future sequels continue the fun.
