Okay, I'll admit, I'm not as sure about that as I was this morning.  I've now found conflicting sources.  Some say 8-Track Tape Day is September 15 and some say April 11. But who cares?  It's always a good day to celebrate 8-track tapes!  These magnetic cartridges were popular from the mid 60s to the mid 80s.  They were the first practical way to take music on the go!

I've owned three players in my life.  The first was bought at Western Auto, the second at Sears and then there's my last player, a Soundesign.  It still works!  I have a box of country tapes somewhere but I wasn't able to find it.  These are pop/rock tapes.  Fleetwood Mac, the Beatles, the Beach Boys and a variety of other artists are represented here.  Hmm...I might have to look for more tapes on eBay...
