Iggy Azalea Finds New Team As ‘X Factor’ Australia’s Latest Judge
Azalea will officially serve as a judge and mentor for the show, according to a press release. And while The X Factor has yet to confirm the rapper's three fellow judges, The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Azalea will replace Dannii Minogue, who's been on the panel since 2013.
"I understand what it’s like to have giant dreams and intend to help other young Australians achieve theirs by sharing my knowledge and developing their talent in collaboration with The X Factor," Azalea said after the announcement.
Cyrus Villanueva, a 19-year-old from New South Wales, won the show's most recent season and his debut album, Cyrus, has been certified gold by ARIA. Chris Isaak, James Blunt and Guy Sebastian joined Minogue on the Season 7 judging panel.
Azalea released her newest single, "Team," in March, which she's said is a clear reflection of the tone of her forthcoming LP, Digital Distortion.
"It has a bit of an electronic, digital influence, so the name fits sonically," she told Elle.
