If you have a pet, especially a cat, you have a little ball of fur with a temperament of a 2 year old, that wants you to be still just long enough for them to get your attention. Mine is called, 'Tigger'.

He's 16 years old and unlike his namesake, he doesn't bounce like a tiger on speed, he just kind of waits for his moment.  This is him seizing that moment as I had just curled up for a long winter's nap. The fact that I'm trying to waste time on Facebook is no concern of his.

At times like this, it is very important that you pay attention to the master of your house. You must put down what you are doing and scratch in the appropriate places until HE decides, 'That's enough, moron.' and then walks off to sharpen his claws on the carpet. That is the signal to the 'moron' that he desires to be let out of the house to begin his night's activities. Any delay and he begins shredding the couch.

At this point you are laughing or nodding your head, because like me, you have one of these little monsters darlingsand understand completely the joy they bring into your life.

One last warning: Make sure you do not ignore their need for love or they will unleash hell upon your couch or worse, like making all the laundry you just picked up from the cleaners smell like cat pee. That is all.
