How to Make the Perfect ‘Grease’ Costume
A Night at Rydell High is just around the corner and while you'll want to dress up to have fun with your friends, you don't have to spend a lot of money. You probably have everything you need in your closet right now.
For the perfect grease costume, it’s important to remember it’s going to be hot this weekend so the sweater isn’t a good choice. Instead, pick a shirt that comes a little off the shoulders or has a boat neck.
Pedal pusher pants or tights will good in black for that Sandy look. If tight pants aren’t your thing, you can go for a poodle skirt and can find out more about those here.
As for shoes, I’d go for flat tennis shoes because you’re going to be dancing a lot or sandals because it’s going to be hot when you first get there.
While it definitely won’t be weather to wear a letter jacket, it could be cute to bring as a decoration for your table or for photos.
And make sure to wear your hair in a ponytail or tie with a scarf.
The leather jacket is the most prominent part of a grease costume and since it won’t be cold outside, you can still bring it to sling over your shoulder or wear just for the photos.
Hair oil can help you slick your hair back and comb your hair almost like you’re trying to be Elvis and you’ll be good.
Wear a classic white T-shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of dark blue jeans is all you need and you can cuff the bottoms if you want.
Then all you need is some black shoes and white socks and you’re good to go.
A Night at Rydell High is this Saturday at La Hacienda so make sure you get your tickets now and we’ll see you there!
