The tumbling House of Cards metaphor is apt, as sexual assault allegations against star Kevin Spacey appear to be picking up speed. The actor has since been dropped by his representation, as new reports of inappropriate behavior surface from the House of Cards crew itself. It’s possible Season 6 will be shuttered altogether.

In addition to actor Anthony Rapp’s 1986 claims and others who have since come forward alleging sexual assault from Spacey, CNN has now compiled a number of House of Cards crew members with stories to tell. One production assistant called Spacey “predatory” on the set, particularly around young male staffers, while recounting an incident in which Spacey touched them in a car, and later cornered them in his dressing room. Other crew members and camera assistants describe behavior ranging from questionable “play fights” with younger men, to lewd comments about attire.

Cards production company Media Rights Capital had previously sent representatives to the set to assess the show’s future with cast and crew. In light of newer allegations, MRC also confirms that Spacey was investigated for a prior incident in 2012, which former showrunner Beau Willimon claims not to have been informed of:

We are deeply troubled to learn about these new allegations that are being made to the press concerning Kevin Spacey’s interaction with members of the crew of House of Cards. As the producer of the show, creating and maintaining a safe working environment for our cast and crew has always been our top priority. We have consistently reinforced the importance of employees reporting any incident without fear of retaliation and we have investigated and taken appropriate actions following any complaints.

For example, during our first year of production in 2012, someone on the crew shared a complaint about a specific remark and gesture made by Kevin Spacey. Immediate action was taken following our review of the situation and we are confident the issue was resolved promptly to the satisfaction of all involved. Mr. Spacey willingly participated in a training process and since that time MRC has not been made aware of any other complaints involving Mr. Spacey.

Spacey’s publicist Staci Wolfe also announced that the actor would be seeking “evaluation and treatment,” though she and Spacey’s Creative Artists Agency representation have since cut ties with him. The series’ sixth season is now significantly in question, as BuzzFeed “spoke to a longtime member of the House of Cards crew on Wednesday who said no one is expecting the show to come back.”

We’ll likely hear more in the coming days, so stay tuned for details on both House of Cards and Kevin Spacey’s future.
