1963, singer Patsy Cline was killed in a plane crash in Camden Tennessee.

1770 the ‘Boston Massacre’ took place when British troops fired on a crowd of Bostonians, killing five people, Two British troops were later convicted of manslaughter.

1955 Elvis Presley made his first TV appearance on the show called ‘Louisiana Hayride’ on KWHK-TV. In 1960, five years later to the day, he was honorably discharged from the Army.

It was on this day in 1982, John Belushi was found dead from a drug overdose at a hotel in Hollywood. He was 33.
