High School Teacher Fired for Working as Bikini Model – Is It Fair?
Having a teacher who's also a bikini model might be every teen boy's fantasy, but this got a high school English teacher in Florida fired recently.
Olivia Sprauer was working as a teacher at Martin County High School when one of her bikini photos caught the attention of the school's principal. She was asked to resign the very same day.
Although Sprauer was planning to leave her position next year to attend graduate school and knew that posing in a bikini was risky, she was still hoping to complete the school year for the sake of her students. She models, by the way, under the name Victoria James.
"I felt like it would have been nice for my students to finish out the year with me," she said. "They trusted me and they made me happy so that aspect of it was sad."
What's more, Sprauer doesn't feel as if the photos were inappropriate. "I don't make pornography," she said. "I take swimsuit glamour style photography."
The school district, meanwhile, refuses to comment on the matter and will only confirm that Sprauer no longer works at the school.
Should Sprauer have been fired or did the school overreact? See one of her pics below.
