Game of Thrones has always built itself as a series capable of offing its leads at any moment, even if the audience seems to reject certain deaths too harsh to be true. It would probably stand to reason that Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark has plenty of time in her future as well, something Turner seemingly hinted at the Oscars last night.

Take this with a grain of salt for now, as Game of Thrones stars have gotten reasonably good when it comes to keeping spoilers, but Turner seemingly confirmed during the E! News preshow that Sansa would survive Season 6, saying of the scripts “I’m flicking through, like, death, death, death, death, death … Okay, I’m good for this season.”

Granted, we’ve heard of at least some peril Lady Stark might find herself in by the end of the season (and don’t forget, crossing Ramsay Bolton doesn’t generally end well), no one exactly had Sansa on the death watch for Season 6. Still, assuming we can take Turner’s words at face value, it’s a comfort to know that Sansa won’t be subject to more horrible fates this year.

In the meantime, check out the latest on the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere with additional teasers below, and stay tuned for April 24!
