Midland Police officer Jake Churchwell's fundraiser yesterday brought in over $13,000.

According to NewsWest 9, Officer Churchwell was in a high speed chase with a motorcyclist last week and lost control of his vehicle and was partailly ejected from his patrol car.

Churchwell is in stable condition at the hospital so his brothers from the police department and sheriff's office teamed up for a fundraiser open to the public yesterday.

They served food and raised $13, 507 toward helping Officer Churchwell with his hospital costs.
