Some changes are on the way for traffic lights in the City of Midland.

City officials tell NewsWest 9, the city will begin to convert several left-turn signals to include a flashing yellow arrow.

The flashing yellow arrow means that left turn drivers need to yield to oncoming traffic before proceeding through the intersection to complete the turn.

The first phase of the conversions will include signals along both Midland Drive and Andrews Highway.
