For those who have found a new route because of the construction on Fairgrounds Road, now you can return to the old route because it is not a construction zone anymore.
According to NewsWest 9, that old route you used to take down Fairgrounds Road is now available to return to and now it is improved as well.
The months of construction are done and the new Fairgrounds Road is now open and is no longer considered a construction zone.
Permanent speed limits are now in place which includes 40 miles per hour south of Wadley and 45 miles per hour north of Wadley to Loop 250.
City officials say the new road is wider and smoother than the old road was and will have new traffic signals and pedestrian options also.
