Odessa's Downtown Revitalization Project is looking for new businesses to add to the downtown area.

According to NewsWest 9, Odessa's downtown area is already seeing new developments with the Ector Theater renovation and convention center construction along with a new hotel.

A partnership between the Small Business Development Center and the City of Odessa is looking for more ways to revitalize the downtown area.

They are looking for people who are willing to bring ideas to find restaurants, bars, and retail shops to the downtown area.

Jeff Russell, owner of Paul Evans Carpets in downtown Odessa says,  "Anytime we can do things to get traffic downtown, it's a good thing. The more we can draw people down here and let them know what downtown has to offer, that's something as a merchant we're always excited about."

A franchising seminar will happen at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Tuesday, April 24, 2018, located at 800 W. 4th Street in Odessa. Morning session will begin at 9 a.m. and an evening session will begin at 5 p.m.
