The iconic dress that Judy Garland wore in the film 'The Wizard of Oz' will go up for auction this Fall through Bonhams, a privately owned British auction house.

The dress is expected to sell for somewhere between  $800,000 and $1.2 million. No small fee for Dorothy's dress. The dress was worn on film, and  you can see the proof in fabric.

"What's great about this dress is you get the best of both worlds. There's evidence of usage with the sweat stains but also for a dress that's 75 years old, it's in fantastic shape," Catherine Williamson, director of entertainment memorabilia at Bonhams, told CNBC via phone.

The upcoming auction will feature more than just Dorothy's dress, take a look at what else you can expect to see for sale.
