The renovations of Dennis the Menace Park in Midland are nearly complete with the addition of some historical structures included in the park during the 60's and 70's.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the latest piece is the old airplane that used to be in the park.

The structure has been refurbished and repainted and has been placed on a set of metal beams so it cannot be accessible for children to play on so it can stand as a monument to the history of the park.

The first phase of the park is almost done with the second phase being the installation of new playground equipment which will begin in the next few weeks.

Dennis the Menace Park is scheduled to re-open in the spring of 2019.
