Construction Begins on Conversion of the Old Ritz Theater in Downtown Midland to the Basin PBS Headquarters

Other construction is going on in downtown Midland like the refurbishing of the Ritz Theater.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, constructions crews began the renovation process to turn the Ritz Theater into the headquarters of Basin PBS.

The project will renovate the old theater to have a 50's look outsinde, with a modern TV studio inside.

The Ritz Theater was build in the late 1920's and besides being a movie theater for most of its years it has also been a night club but has been abandoned since 2003 and now is in need of a total gutting out of the interior which the crews plan on doing.

Basin PBS is planning on beginning operations in their new downtown Midland home in the summer of 2017.
