City of Midland to Begin Maintenance on Water Distribution System June 1

If you start to smell a bleachy smell in the water in Midland beginning June 1, don't worry its just the water maintenance the city conducts annually.

According to YourBasin.com, city officials say the maintenance will take about 30 days and during that time you might smell a chlorine smell but the water will be safe to drink and give to pets.

Officials will monitor chlorine levels and water quality standards during the maintenance period.
