City of Midland Reminds Residents of the Citizen Collection Station

Illegal dumping is becoming a problem in Midland and city officials want to remind residents that they have a free option to get rid of their bulky trash.

According to NewsWest 9, the Citizen Collection Station is located at 4100 Smith Road near ClayDesta Center in Midland.

The facility provides residents a free place to drop off recyclables, yard waste, and large household items such as appliances and mattresses.

The Citizens Collection Station is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am-6pm and on Saturday from 9am-2pm.

The fine for illegal dumping in the City of Midland is a minimum of $500 for anyone caught dumping items on any vacant lot or other areas within the city limits.

Odessa also has a free Citizen Bulk Item Collection Center for large solid waste items located at 814 W. 42nd Street.
