The City of Midland is closer to getting a special needs park on the northwest part of town.

According to NewsWest 9, the Chris Davidson Opportunity Park is on the road to becoming a reality.

The park will be for special needs children and have a wheelchair-friendly playground.

The City of Midland has entered into a promotional agreement with the Midland Development Corporation and the Bush Tennis Center to get the park on the road to becoming a reality.

There is no word on a beginning construction date or date of completion at this time.
