City of Midland and TxDOT in Talks to Put Medians on State Hwy 349

City officials and TxDOT officials met Tuesday to discuss putting medians on SH 349 in Midland County.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the proposed medians on the highway are to help deter drivers from using the left turn lanes as acceleration lanes.

The medians would only be on the part of the highway that is in Midland County for the businesses and residential areas on the highway north of Loop 250 to the Martin County line.

City Council is expected to vote on the project soon.
