The location at 4610 N. Garfield has had a notice on the door since January, but now it is officially closed.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the notice letter on the door, dated on January 3, 2018, stated the landlord had “elected to exercise its rights contained within the lease for this space and the Texas property code to change the locks.”

The Midland location of Churrasca opened in July 2014 inside the former Abuelos location after it built a stand alone restaurant a few blocks down Loop 250 earlier that year.

It was opened just like other traditional Brazilian steak houses, offering various kinds of meats like chicken, beef, and lamb served directly at the table in an all-you-can-eat style.

Prices were on the high end at almost $35 per person but featured unlimited meat as well as a salad bar.

The Midland location was not the only one in the chain to close down, the Lubbock location has also closed down as recently as this past week.
