We're just days away from the June 24 premiere of CBS's Stephen King-adapted summer thriller 'Under the Dome,' and the eye network has served up its first real slice of the series. Two new clips from the new mystery drama have hit the web, and while one teases the tension between the trapped townsmen, the other gets gorier than we'd ever expect to see on CBS!

The first clip (courtesy of SpoilerTV) unfolds between the power-hungry James "Big Jim" Rennie ('Breaking Bad' star Dean Norris) and chief of police Howard "Duke" Perkins ('LOST''s Jeff Fahey) after the titular dome has fallen, as the two debate how best to handle the town's dwindling resources. The second clip however takes a truly horrific turn, showcasing the immediate and bloody aftermath of the dome's initial landing!

Written by Brian K. Vaughan (‘LOST’) with original ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ helmer Niels Arden Oplev directing its June 24 premiere, ‘Under the Dome’ follows the Stephen King book of the same name, focusing on a small New England town that finds itself inexplicably encased in a transparent dome with no hope of penetration. Inside, the residents of the town battle increasingly apocalyptic conditions as they struggle to understand their new circumstances.

The cast also includes, Mike Vogel (‘Bates Motel‘), Rachelle LeFevre (‘Twilight‘), Colin Ford (‘Supernatural‘), Natalie Martinez, Alex Koch, Britt Robertson, Nicholas Strong, Jolene Purdy and ‘Justified‘ star Natalie Zea. Take a look at the above and below clips, and tell us if you'll go 'Under the Dome' this Monday for the June 24 premiere!
