Cardi B is taking a break from social media following a very public feud with rapper Azealia Banks. On Saturday (May 12), the "Be Careful" artist's Instagram page was showing up as deactivated, while her Twitter has now been set to private with a recent tweet, reading, "I'm tired of the bullshit .I need to enjoy my pregnancy, family ,new projects and my partner."

The move comes after Banks' recent appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show where she called Cardi B illiterate and untalented. During the interview, Banks said Cardi B's image is a caricature of a Black woman and criticized her grammar.

Cardi eventually responded to Banks' comments, writing on Instagram, "I am from the hood I speak how I speak I am how I am. I did not choose to be famous people choose me... I don't want to change my ways because I'm famous that's why I just mind my business. This coming from a woman that bleached her skin but want to advocate."

After some more back-and-forth on Twitter and Instagram, Cardi released a lengthy statement, calling out Banks for her own insecurities. "You can't understand where your insecurities come from and why your not happy in your OWN skin so you think because YOU can't figure your shit out that you can create confusion for me, make me unsure about who I am!"

Cardi ended her statement by taking the high road, writing, "You think your advocating for women and your doing the opposite! I pray you find peace in your own heart and reason in your mind! Pray for your own success before you pray for the downfall of others!"
