Saturday some local people got together to help out the victims of the fires last month in the Texas Panhandle.

According to NewsWest 9,  locals and the owners of Jack Jordan's BBQ put together a car show and silent auction to help out the victims with the aftermath of the Panhandle fires last month.

The event was put together in less than a week and actually raised about $4000 for the post fire aid to those who had homes and land destroyed by the fires.

The event coordinators want to thank all who came out and helped them raise the money for those victims.
