Bustin’ For Badges Successfully Raises Cash for Local Law Enforcement
Permian Basin law enforcement agencies received $100,000 in checks on Tuesday.
The Midland and Odessa police departments and Sheriff’s offices each received a $25,000 check at the Second Annual 'Bustin' for Badges' Ceremony in Midland on Tuesday. The funds for the checks were raised during the Bustin' for Badges Clay Shoot Tournament held last month to benefit local law enforcement.
The money will be used to buy bullet proof vests and and other equipment not covered in the agencies' annual budgets.
Pioneer Natural Resources presented the checks to each agency.
