Pioneer Natural Resources made the announcement Tuesday that over a quarter million dollars were raised for Midland and Odessa law enforcement by the annual clay shoot.

According to NewsWest 9, the actual dollar amount was around $340,000 that the Bustin' For Badges fundraiser made in this year's annual event.

There were 1,081 shooters which is a record attendance for the event.

Police Chiefs and Sheriffs for both Midland and Ector counties were presented with a check for $85,000 which is $30,000 more than last year.

Next year's Bustin' For Badges event is already in the planning stages at this time.
