Not since the days of Dallas has a show like Billions made the feuding wealthy seem so … well, rich. Showtime certainly thinks so, confirming a Season 3 renewal just three episodes into the show’s second season.

Season 2 of the Damian Lewis-Paul Giamatti Wall Street drama premiered on February 19, raking in an audience of 4.4 million viewers. Says Showtime of the third season, which will presumably arrive in 2018:

Billions continues to be a show on the rise, growing not only in audience, but in critical buzz and cultural relevance. It offers a unique mix of pure entertainment with sly commentary on our current have/have-not economy. Season two is off to a tremendous start, and has only whetted our audience’s appetite for what will come in season three.

And hey, here’s something to maybe look forward to:

New additions for Season 2 include Showtime Weeds dealer Mary-Louise Parker, playing “a brilliant strategist named George Minchak” over the span of a single episode. Other Season 2 guest stars include writer-actor Danny Strong as Todd Krakow, described as “a stylish and smooth hedge fund whale,” along with Asia Kate Dillon, Rob Morrow, Dan Soder, Kelly AuCoin, James Wolk, Christopher Denham, Glenn Fleshler, and Eric Bogosian.
