Big Spring Restaurant Offers Furloughed Government Employees a Free Meal

With the government shutdown now getting close to a month old, a restaurant in Big Spring is giving free meals to government workers that are on furlough.

According to NewsWest 9, Double L Barbecue in Big Spring will provide a free meal to those workers from 5p.m.-7p.m. today, January 22, 2019.

Federal workers impacted by the shutdown can come eat for free all they require is you to have some proof that you are a current government employee.

The event will be held at Miss Royale located at 1509 S. Gregg St. from 5-7pm or until supplies run out.
