'Bachelorette' alum Ali Fedotowsky has been covering the 2014 Winter Olympics for E! and has picked up a cuddly new companion in Sochi, Russia. Fedotowsky shared a pic of the adorable pup on Instagram today, Feb. 21.

"Got this little gal at a Sochi shelter. On my way to the vet to get her a health certificate and passport so I can hopefully bring her back to the USA to be adopted," the reality star captioned the above photo. "I can't save them all, but I know someone in the states would love to have this little sweetheart!!!"

Before the Olympics began, Sochi issued an order to "get rid of" (read: kill) all of the stray dogs in the city, sparking outrage amongst many. In Fedotowsky's Instagram snap, she is shown wearing a forest green hat emblazoned with the log 'PovoDog,' a makeshift shelter organized by one animal lover (and Russian billionaire) to help save the dogs of Sochi.

Fedotowsky is just one of the Americans in Sochi rescuing the pups. Olympian skier Gus Kenworthy has created the unofficial Team USA rescue effort for the canines, while snowboarder Lindsey Jacobs has also picked up a dog to take back home.
