Before he was an Oscar winner, Danny Boyle was best known for quirky, semi-surreal movies with bite like ‘Shallow Grave’ and ‘Trainspotting.' He looks to be returning to that form a bit with ‘Trance,' a wild crime thriller due out this spring. The trailer for the film, which stars James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel, has just burst online and you can watch it after the break.
The dazzling trailer for Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby' sashayed online just yesterday, and if it whet your appetite for the world of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic, there's another treat from the Warner Bros. release waiting for you today -- six brand-new posters we've collected featuring all of the main characters!
The first 'Godzilla' trailer is coming, folks. Are you prepared? We know we are, especially if it's along the lines of the mega-cool preview shown at San Diego Comic-Con this past July. From the looks of the very first image (unofficially) released, it would seem as though it will be indeed. Check it out after the break!
We've got a little while to wait until we can all bask in Quentin Tarantino's latest ode to badass cinema, 'Django Unchained', but today you can get closer to the film by listening to the entire soundtrack. And you can do that right here...for free!
When it comes to 'Star Trek Into Darkness,' the main talking point is without question the identity of Benedict Cumberbatch's character. Is he playing an updated version of a classic villain, say, Khan for example? The word thus far from the creative team has been a definitive no -- but who ever trusts what these notoriously secretive folk say anyway?
Today the denials get firmer, as we have Cumberbatch himself weighing in, talking in some detail about who his character is and what his name isn't -- and that it is NOT Khan.
Columbia Pictures is asking for more 'Salt'! (And you can probably expect to see a variation of that joke everywhere today.) The studio has taken the first step toward making a follow-up to the 2010 Angelina Jolie summer hit by hiring a rather unlikely screenwriter. Find out who after the break.
By now you're well aware of the controversy surrounding Peter Jackson's decision to shoot 'The Hobbit' in 48fps, a higher frame rate that has given the movie, at least in the early going, a sped-up and slightly disorienting appearance. (Read our review right here.) It has almost exclusively dominated the conversation regarding the highly-anticipated prequel, and today we have Warner Bros. weighing in to assure us that, contrary to some reports, 'The Hobbit' in 48fps will not make you nauseous. Always nice to know!
Read the studio's full statement on the matter after the break.
The reviews for 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' are piling in like a horde of angry orcs, and while most are positive (not including our own), the conversation seems to be dominated by the high frame rate Peter Jackson utilized to help bring the film to life. Fair or not, we had better get used to this being the main topic when it comes to 'The Hobbit', at least during the first few weeks of release.
However, while the world at large must wait for the chance to make up its own mind regarding the film, we have six clips from the epic adventure to hold you over until it comes out. Check them all out after the break.
