Overzealous fans of FX’s American Horror Story -- or anyone who gets off on the adrenaline rush induced by creepy, costumed characters and threatening situations -- will soon have a chance to experience the horror series in real life, just in time for Halloween.

Universal Studios has teamed up with FX to create a maze based on three seasons from American Horror Story that will be implemented in this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The maze, which will be installed at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort, will borrow character and storyline elements from the show’s Murder House, Freak Show and Hotel installments (though an appearance from Lady Gaga as The Countess is highly unlikely).

Universal Studios released a heavily detailed announcement outlining the specifics of the forthcoming attraction, saying:

Twisted scenes from Murder House will unleash the evil spirits that possess the Harmon estate, spiraling guests through decades of the tortured dead who previously resided there. In ‘Freak Show,’ guests will join a troupe of biological misfits in a sinister sideshow where they’ll be stalked by the murderous and deformed Twisty the Clown. Finally, guests will succumb to the warped desires of The Countess after checking in to the haunted Hotel Cortez, conceived from the beginning as a torture chamber for its customers.

American Horror Story will hit Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights beginning on September 16. Check out a teaser for the terrifying maze in the video above.
