It may be the dead of winter, but Alicia Keys just served up a dose of aural sunshine with "Sweet F'in Love," teaming up with Haitian-Canadian producer Kaytranada for the house-meets-jazzy track.

It's Keys' first original song since the release of last November's Here which, like Kaytranada's debut full-length 99.9%, earned a spot on Popcrush's Best Albums of 2016. "Sweet F'in Love," which was shared late Monday night (January 9) via Keys' husband Swizz Beatz's Soundcloud account, marks a tonal departure from the introspective and often politically-charged Here, keeping it simple with a repeated lyric — "I'm talkin' bout sweet f'in love, you give me that sweet f'in love" — with an intimate spoken-word verse from Keys mid-song.

As many lurch into 2017 with trepidation, Keys offered a counter narrative of positivity with both the song itself and her announcement of the track: "2017 is going to be so SICK!!!!!"
