If you want to know what to do in the event of an active shooter situation, the Ector County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a course next week.

According to NewsWest 9, the course will teach how to survive an active shooter situation and it will happen next Tuesday with the public welcomed to attend.

Officials with the sheriffs office do warn that some parts of the course will be a little uncomfortable because they will be using 9-1-1 calls made during the 1999 Columbine High School shooting as some of the material included in the presentation.
